WCCD Atlanta believes that its mission is even more important today, particularly because WCCD Atlanta members are living and/or working in some of the most under served communities in the region.

These members’ voices are critical in:

Formulating and implementing community economic development policies.
Ensuring that members and all women of color have access to relevant career development and training; gain access to industry leaders in a safe and constructive environment, and help gain access to career opportunities that have not historically been available to women of color.
Educating public sector and private business of the value of community development work, helping to sustain and advance the community development industry and elevate its status as a career path.
Motivating their communities to pursue strategies that will lead to greater economic self-sufficiency for low-wealth residents.

Join a network of professional women in the community economic development field located primarily in the Atlanta metropolitan area.

The women work in the public, private, and nonprofit sectors across a broad range of community development fields: social services, finance, real estate, and affordable housing development, advocacy, social enterprise, venture capital, education, and social entrepreneurship. WCCD Atlanta was formed to enable women of color to connect, learn, support and network, with a goal of advancing each other both professionally and personally.

Membership Structure

$350 WCCD SUSTAINING MEMBER
The WCCD Sustaining Membership honors the women who provided critical support and guidance to the Women of Color in Community Development during our formative years and continue to stand with us today.

Member fees can be paid in full when submitting application ($350)

Access to an expansive network of leaders working across multiple sectors in the community development industry
Eligible to serve on Membership, Program and Communication committees
Registration fees waived for four WCCD events (Valued at $200)
Member profile and headshot featured on digital Member Directory

$750 PAY IT FORWARD MEMBER
A package for companies that understand the value of WCCD membership, and want to ensure their staff and others are afforded the same opportunity. Pay It Forward benefits are extended to five (5) employees designated by the organization. Two (2) additional memberships are reserved for prospective or renewing members who request scholarships to support engagement with WCCD.
